ABE Customize Highlight: Rolls Royce Cullinan Black Badge

This is not just any Cullinan Black Badge anymore.. Through ABE Customize, ABE Bodyworks and ABE Protect Plus, we tastefully tweaked this Rolls Royce SUV to our client’s exact specification.

We didn’t go crazy, but went with more of an OEM+ approach with super close attention to detail. Details that you would expect from a vehicle of this caliber. Here's what we did:

1. Wheels & Calipers

Let’s start with the most eye-catching and notable change: the Wheels & Calipers. Small details like this can make all the difference.

Originally the calipers were gloss black along and the centre wheel-cap surround was chrome. We refinished them both to the OEM accent blue that’s in the interior and stripe going across the car. We scanned the exact shade of blue used on the interior and transferred that over to a matching paint via ABE Bodyworks. The OEM wheels look great and the customer will be driving it this way for the winter but we’re already looking at some aftermarket wheels to top off this build in the summer.

1. Colour-Matched All Plastic Pieces

The chrome door handles, any plastic on the front/rear bumpers, side skirts, everything that was not paint-matched, was paint-matched. And as you may know, Rolls Royce paint isn't just any paint, it's clear coated twice! So painted, clear coated, sanded, then painted and clear coated once more. That's how it achieves this glass-like surface finish.

We’ve completed this idea in the past for other builds and every time we do it, we’re surprised how good it looks. Check out this F-150 Raptor R & The Infamous Triple White Series where we refinished all plastics, gloss black accents and more to a paint-matched finish.

3. The Essentials

Once all refinished pieces came back, we moved onto the protection part of the process via ABE Protect Plus.

While the car was disassembled we went ahead and wrapped everything seamlessly with Paint Protection Film to shield the newly painted pieces from the day-to-day elements as well as the Windshield! We even installed PPF on every painted piece of trim of the interior including the chrome and carbon fiber. Finally, we topped it all off with Ceramic Tint all around & Ceramic Coating inside out to keep the car easy-to-clean.
