NEAR $1M AMG: SERVICED
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series
Is this 1 of 350 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series, the best AMG ever made?
This timeless machine from 2014 was just purchased by one of our long-time clients, who wanted us to perform a full vehicle inspection & service both inside and out to get it ready for the road.
1. First Things First: Inspection
Upon arrival, we conducted a thorough inspection inside and out. While the client’s priority was protecting the vehicle’s exterior, he also had concerns about its mechanical condition. The previous owner had only performed oil changes in the last two years, which meant a more comprehensive check was necessary to ensure everything was up to standard. Our inspection covered:
Paintwork analysis for any repainted areas
Complete mechanical evaluation, including all filters and fluids
Comparison with service records to determine what was overdue
Given that this was a nearly one million-dollar AMG collector’s model, we left no stone unturned. After presenting our detailed report, the client approved all recommended services, and we sourced the required OEM parts directly from Mercedes to maintain complete authenticity.
2. Comprehensive Mechanical Service
With everything in place, our team performed a full service, ensuring that every component was in peak condition:
Engine oil change & filter replacement
Transmission fluid change & filter replacement
Brake fluid flush
Coolant flush
Spark plug replacement
Serpentine belt, tensioner, and all four pulleys replaced
Air filters replaced
Cabin air (pollen) filters replaced
Fuel system flushed (due to prolonged sitting without fuel)
Fuel injectors cleaned
Many collectors believe that if a car is not driven, service is unnecessary. However, fluids degrade over time, and routine maintenance is crucial to preserving the integrity of a vehicle—even when in storage. This SLS Black Series is now mechanically sound and ready for anything.
3. Paint Protection Film (PPF) Install
Once all the mechanical work was completed and signed off by our licensed mechanic, it was time to give this timeless machine the exterior protection it deserves. Through ABE Protect Plus, we meticulously installed full body paint protection film (PPF) and applied ceramic coating inside and out.
Seamless large-area coverage: Oversized panels like the hood were completed in a single piece to prevent seams and reduce dirt accumulation.
All edges wrapped: Every edge was wrapped for an invisible, long-lasting result.
Exterior/Interior ceramic coating: Added protection, ease of maintenance & extra paint shine.
Last but not least, we ceramic coat the vehicle top-to-bottom, inside and out. Our coating creates a hydrophobic layer over the clear coat of the paint, which acts as an extra layer of protection. This layer helps repel dirt, grime, and other contaminants from bonding to the paint. It also makes washing your car much easier as water will bead off the paint much more easily.
While PPF is for protection, Ceramic Coating is for ease of maintenance—together, they’re the ultimate combination.
