GT3 RS Modifications: Exhaust, Roll Cage, Harness & More...

There's something special about taking an already perfected track weapon and dialing it in even further. This 992 Porsche GT3 RS came through ABE for both protection & customization to personalize its styling while improving performance and the overall driving experience.

SOUL Performance Exhaust System

To wake up the GT3 RS and give it the voice it deserves, we installed a SOUL Performance exhaust system paired with high-flow catalytic converters through ABE Customize. 

This setup gives a noticeable increase in volume and tone, bringing out that raw, high-revving flat-six engine, all while retaining factory valve functionality.

The high-flow cats are key here; not only do they help with exhaust flow and performance, but they're also designed to avoid triggering a Check Engine Light and prevent unwanted exhaust smell in the cabin. OEM+ done right.

BBI Roll-Cage

Since this GT3 RS is destined for track use, we equipped it with a BBI roll cage.

A properly engineered roll cage significantly improves safety for the driver in the event of a rollover.

While the GT3 RS chassis is already highly engineered from the factory, this modification further reinforces the car for track-focused driving and pairs perfectly with the rest of the safety setup. For drivers looking to push their car to the limit, it’s a purposeful addition that brings both confidence and protection.

Sparco 6-Point Harness

To complement the roll cage and complete the track-ready setup, we installed a Sparco 6-point harness.

Unlike a standard seatbelt, this 6-point harness secures the driver at multiple points across the body, keeping them firmly planted in the seat during aggressive driving.

Beyond performance, it also enhances safety by evenly distributing force more evenly across the body in the event of an accident.

Porsche PTS: Black Amethyst CPPF

One of the most surprising parts of this whole project: this GT3 RS is not painted.

Originally finished in white, this entire vehicle was wrapped in Porsche Paint-To-Sample Black Amethyst using coloured paint protection film.

This approach allowed the owner to achieve a highly desirable PTS finish, all while saving significantly compared to ordering a factory PTS option. At the same time, the vehicle is fully protected against rock chips, scratches, and everyday wear.

We took it a step further to make sure no white paint was visible, not even in the door jambs and door sills. The result is a seamless, factory-like finish that has fooled lots of people walking through our shop. Most can't believe it's a wrap.
