ABE’s First: Ferrari Purosangue

Supercar in an SUV or SUV in a Supercar?

This is by far one of the most jaw-dropping vehicles we’ve had the pleasure of working on through ABE Protect Plus (Full Body PPF), and we couldn’t resist sharing.

Sport-SUVs in recent years have followed a similar formula: twin-turbo V-8, and an all-wheel-drive system, all packaged in a stylish but traditional four-door chassis. This is followed by most car manufacturers; Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, Maserati, BMW, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, and Audi. Ferrari on the other hand has set a new standard with the Purosangue, equipping it with an N/A 6.5 liter V12 pushing 715BHP (from the 812 Superfast) which is next level for a practical everyday car. Ferrari knew they had to make their first SUV special, and they did not disappoint. Moving on to the exterior of the vehicle, this car is equally incredible.

The body of the Purosangue takes inspiration from much of the Ferrari lineup whilst remaining a totally unique car which anyone would love to have as a part of their fleet. The hood itself is massive (contending with the Dodge Viper hood) which shapes down into the fenders. This was no joke to wrap. We protected this oversized hood in one piece of PPF, end-to-end, making sure there are no visible seams and all edges were wrapped, although doing this in two pieces would have been an easier job, it would not do justice to the caliber of this vehicle and cutting corners is not the way we do things.

This same principle continued throughout the rest of the car with super intricate panels like the front bumper & rear diffuser. Having worked on vehicles with these aggressive body styles like the SF-90, 812 Superfast (Oversized Hood), Lamborghini STO, etc. we were confident working on the Ferrari Purosangue and were super happy with the final result. Have a look at all the photos and let us know what you think. We will be dropping a video on this beauty this evening on our Instagram.

Stay tuned and enjoy your weekend!
